It is also generic. Couples who pick Bali because they want the priest-led ceremony, the cliff-edge dinner table, and the rice-terrace temple sunrise on the same itinerary need a curator, not a brochure. How the Atelier plans your honeymoon — the eight-step process

Step one — discovery call. A 45 minute video call with a senior planner. We ask about the marriage being celebrated, your travel history, sensitivities, allergies, dietary preferences, energy level, and the kind of week you want. No itinerary is offered yet.

Step two — the proposal. Within five business days you receive a 12-15 page itinerary proposal in PDF — day-by-day schedule, accommodations, ceremony details (if any), private dining reservations, and total budget broken down line by line. This is the negotiation document. Most couples send back two or three rounds of revisions.

Step three — ceremony briefing. If you booked a vow renewal or Melukat purification, we send a separate ceremony briefing: priest profile, costume guidance, gesture protocol, photography rules, and the meaning of each ritual phase. The briefing is required reading. Couples consistently report it changes how they experience the rite.

Step four — confirmation. A 30 percent deposit secures all bookings. The Atelier then locks every supplier — villa, transfer driver, chef, priest, photographer — with confirmation paperwork held in a single shared file. Step five — pre-arrival packet. Two weeks before flight we send the final packet — flight, transfer, daily plan, ceremony brief, supplier contact tree, and the planner’s WhatsApp number for in-trip support. This is also when we collect any final dietary, allergy, or anniversary date detail.

Step six — fast-track arrival. Atelier guests are met at the aircraft door at Ngurah Rai (DPS), escorted through priority immigration, and driven to the first accommodation in a private chauffeured vehicle. A welcome amenity is waiting in the villa.

Step seven — daily on-call planning. The planner is on WhatsApp through your seven days. Itinerary changes, weather pivots, dinner-reservation upgrades, and last-minute spa bookings are handled silently in the background. We never expect you to negotiate with a supplier yourself.

Step eight — departure and after-care. Final-day private transfer back to DPS with priority check-in. Three weeks after you return home, we send a written summary of the week, the ceremony photographs (if booked), and a satisfaction survey — the survey feeds the 4.9 rating displayed at the top of this page. Every Atelier-Reserve-Bespoke booking includes: dedicated senior planner from first inquiry to post-trip summary, day-by-day private itinerary in PDF, all curated villa or resort accommodations (twin/king as preferred), daily private chauffeured vehicle, fast-track immigration arrival at DPS, welcome amenity in your first room, on-call WhatsApp planner during the trip, all internal transfers, breakfast daily, conservation contributions where applicable. Tier upgrades include the ceremony coordinator, photographer, helicopter transfers, butler-chef villa service, and private cliff-edge dining tables.

What is not included

International flights to Denpasar (we recommend Singapore Airlines, Qatar Airways, or Garuda Indonesia for premium-cabin connectivity). Indonesian visa-on-arrival (30 days, $35 per person at airport). Travel insurance (mandatory for Atelier guests). Personal shopping, optional spa services beyond the package, alcoholic beverages at most resort bookings (some villa bookings include welcome wine), and gratuities for villa butler-chef teams (suggested $40-75 per couple per day for full butler service).

Vow renewal ceremony availability calendar

Pemangku-led ceremony dates available throughout the dry season — April 1, 2026 through October 31, 2026 — and selected wet-season dates (December 1, 2026 through March 15, 2027 except Nyepi blackout). Each ceremony date is locked at booking; the Atelier holds at least three Pemangku slots per week. Public ceremony venues (Tirta Empul water temple, Uluwatu Temple cliff) require village-level permits we obtain on your behalf. Private villa garden ceremonies are available 365 days. Couples planning around specific dates should inquire 6 to 9 months ahead. Booking process and payment

Inquiry by email or WhatsApp. Senior planner responds within 4 business hours during Bali working time. After the discovery call and the proposal exchange, a 30 percent deposit secures all bookings. Balance due 60 days before arrival. Free cancellation up to 90 days before arrival. Inside 90 days, deposit is transferable to alternative dates within 12 months. Travel insurance with medical evacuation coverage is mandatory and must be confirmed before final invoice issued. Payment by international wire or credit card (3 percent processing surcharge on card).

Is the vow renewal ceremony legally binding? No — it is a blessing rite, not a civil registration. Couples who want a legally binding ceremony abroad must complete civil paperwork in their home jurisdiction.

Can we plan a same-sex honeymoon? Yes. The Atelier has hosted same-sex couples on Atelier and Reserve tiers. We brief on Bali cultural protocol; the suppliers we work with are entirely accommodating.
